Please Publish Correction

Please have the following Letter to the Editor published as the 7/8 Out
the Window implies that my last name is illegitimate/fictitional and
that I have a "low name" recognition in all places except the "west
side " of Citrus County - these theories are untrue!

Thanks and have a good day!

In response to the 7/8/12 "Out the Window" article, I do take exception to the reference to myself, Rene Christopher-McPheeters, Candidate for Citrus County Commission, District 1, as "changing" my name, as "Christopher" was my last name at birth, and as having "low name recognition", being in fact, well known throughout Citrus County, this is a very unfair and biased article, and I truly feel that I deserve having my reply published! Instead, both of my opponents in this District 1, race for county commissioner, fall into your "low name" category: as on the campaign trail throughout the county, I have found that both of my opponents - the incumbent commissioner and incumbent councilman are either unknown or are known and the Citizens are "tired" of their "good old boy" cronyism. Whereas, I have stood for the Citizens not only on the "west side" issues such as the Unfair Crystal River Invalid Annexation (one opponent was for), the Unfair Interlocal Sewer Agreement (both opponents voted for) and the restriction of Flying US Flags(one opponent voted for/the other did not oppose) The publisher was correct in referring to myself as a "citizen activist" yet he failed to note that I have stood on countywide issues, as the only District 1, Citrus County Commission Candidate: Against the "Ottawa Fiasco"/Meadowcrest Multi-Million Dollar Giveaways on the Most Important BOCC Voting Days! Furthermore, many throughout Citrus County are aware of my ongoing project against child-porn: by Proclamation - receiving a Citrus BOCC Proclamation Against Child Pornography, a BOCC Resolution Against Progress Energy Rate Hikes, and also being Founder of the First Official 9/11/01 Memorial in Citrus County!

I Am A Countywide Activist Candidate For The People!

Letter to Editor-Children Ahead of "Image"

image There is a need for the acceptance of responsibility for ethics of those in leadership positions. An example – the Penn State story of alleged child abuse that occurred on campus, with indications of similar abuse going as far back as 1998: was revealing of the total lack of ethics of some in charge here in America!  Penn State should have gone by  – "doing the right thing may be embarrassing and painful, but in the end, doing what is right causes less pain and creates less embarrassment" Although I must add, more importantly, by exposing such atrocity against children -  they will not be victimized by predators, instead: the Children Are Protected! This is the same philosophy that I have endorsed against Pornography with Concerned Women For America, Inc… I then realized that Children were the main target of predators. Living in Florida, where there is a history of many child abduction and murder by predators – I independently promoted the Proclamations Against Child Pornography, bringing the leaders of governmental entities together to Boldly Claim Responsibility By Proclamation To Protect Children From Molesters! Since then, after much hard work, trials and tribulations – I have received Seven Original  Proclamations Against Child Pornography, from Seven Floridian Cities signed by their Councilpersons, Mayors and then presented to me at their City Council Meetings! Congratulations to the following Cities for Being Ethical by Proclamation to Stand up and Fight for the Children Against Pornography/Predators!: Belleview, Crystal River, Dunnellon, Leesburg, Longwood, Ocala, Ormond Beach, and Much Success and Godspeed for them all!!! Because they did  "The Right Thing"!!!

Dear Editor-Renee Christopher-McPheeters

Sunday’s "Out the Window"

The recent "Out the Window" article by the publisher : "The future looks like Mud"
The title, intended to b humorous, did speak volumes of the situation in Citrus County.

That the future looked like mud – reminded me of "Mud Island" –
at Memphis, Tennessee (an amusement Park). I lived in Tennessee for about ten years, there were a lot of good people there.
I told one of the Memphis leaders, that they should rename an amusement park in downtown Memphis, actually an island -"The King’s Island" instead of "Mud Island".

"The King’s Island", for Martin Luther King who was killed at Memphis and Elvis Presley, who was from Memphis – "The King of Rock & Roll".
A city or county should as the saying goes "Accentuate the Positive and Eliminate the negative!".

This is what needs to happen here in Citrus County, we do not need  any more bad publicity.

Bad Publicity is not good for business or anything else!

As a Candidate and future Commissioner, I shall do my best to avoid anything that would make Citrus County look bad to outsiders in general:

lengthy governmental meeting battles/lawsuits, and "Fiascos" such as the "Ottawa Fiasco", the "Inter local Centralized Sewer Agreement", the "Dean Barn", "The Freezer", "King’s Bay/Manatee Protection" The Citrus Memorial Hospital Lawsuit, the Invalid Crystal River Annexation…the list goes on and on.

If you look anyplace in the country, the counties/cities that are not fighting amidst themselves are the ones that are the most successful and prosperous –

the ones that businesses and families are attracted to!

I just have to say that I am very tired of all of the bickering in Citrus County and the culprit, let’s face it  – is Bad Government!

If there can be a turnaround with the 2012 Election, for Positive Candidates: Citrus County shall not have a "muddy" reputation and the future shall be smooth sailing!!!
