Image result for shell convenience stores florida

We went shopping at Publix in Shoppes of Sugarmill going by the Shell gas station on corner of 19 and Cardinal Street the price for regular was $2.44 per gal on the return trip the price had gone up 14 cents to $2.58 per gal could this crazy price increase be the result of laying out of fencing for the new Seven Eleven

that’s to be on the opposite corner on Cardinal? Isn’t competition suppose to reduce prices or are the stations going to try and make a killing before the new stations are finished?
